Lady in Red: Pamela Anderson looked very festive in her bright red coat as she arrived back at her Liverpool hotel last night

She might be playing the Genie In The Lamp but Pamela Anderson looked more like Little Red Riding Hood last night.

The actress could also have doubled as Mrs Santa Claus in her bright red coat as she arrived back at her Liverpool hotel.

Pamela, 42, is currently starring in the panto Aladdin at the Empire Theatre and has been enjoying her time in the city, often being snapped out in having fun in the pub or in a restaurant.

Steady as she goes: Pamela gingerly steps out onto the icy pavement as she gets out of her car

But last night was purely about work as she arrived back at her hotel after a radio interview with the city's Radio City 96.7 straight after her panto appearance.

And she looked very festive in her Christmas red coat which she teamed with knee high boots, her hair all messy from the cold wind.

Earlier in the day, she brought some panto magic to the young patients at Liverpool's Alder Hey hospital.

Along with her Aladdin co-stars Les Dennis, who plays Wishee Washee, Pamela chatted to some of the sick children and made them laugh during her stay.

They also delivered Christmas presents before heading back for yesterday’s matinee performance.

She said afterwards: 'It was a wonderful experience to visit Alder Hey, so the cast and I could help lift the spirits of the kids.

'It is sad to see children have to be in hospital over Christmas but the staff are doing their very best to make it as comfortable as possible.'

And the former Baywatch star, who is spending her second Christmas in the UK, added: 'I wish the children all the best for the New Year and wish they be well soon.'

Pamela is starring in Aladdin until January 2 2011.
