I first want to say that Catholicism is The Devil. In case you did not know, my Grandfather passed away last weekend and today was the funeral in Fresno. I've been to many funerals in my life but regrettably I have to say this one was the worst.
Also I must regrettable admit that most of my family is Catholic, which makes me wonder if I'll see any of them beyond the grave. Almost all of my family are really good people but being good doesn't punch your ticket to Heaven. In fact, the Bible says that God sees our good deeds as filthy rags. No amount of "being good" could ever come close to measuring up to God.
Every man falls woefully short, especially the ever evil Nonsequitur. But Nonsequitur is going to Heaven someday despite all the houses he's burned, women he's raped, people he's beat up and so on. He's going to Heaven because like me, he names the name of Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And I'm quite confident in saying that he's not a Catholic.
You see, the Catholic Church seems to want to put more emphasis on The Virgin Mary and various Saints than the one true living God, Jesus Christ. I hate to admit this but I grew up a Catholic until I was in my early teens. I hated the church so badly, I actually started to not believe in God at all until I was in my mid 20s. Then I actually picked up a Bible and read it.
Once I began reading the Bible, I knew the Catholic Church was full of shit. Not unlike the Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness or Islam. While it's true that the Catholics recognize Jesus as the Son of God, that's where the right stuff stops with them.
They call the priests "Father" in direct contradiction to the Bible. They repeat prayers over, over and over in their Rosary, also something the Bible says God loathes. And worst of all, the Catholics worship idols, especially Mary. They call her "The Queen of Heaven". My skin crawls at such absurdity.
There are no queens in Heaven, just the King of all Kings, The Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other being in Heaven worthy of worship, only Jesus Christ, God in the Flesh. It's sure funny how the real Bible only mentions Mary a few times, yet the Catholic Church acts like she's more important than Jesus, who the Bible says is the only bridge to Heaven.
The Catholics pray to Mary to intercede for us sinners. There's not a mere mention in the entire Bible of doing this. God and Jesus are the only ones who can hear prayers, so all the endless, meaningless prayers said to Mary by this church fall on deaf ears. Just as the Muslims with Allah, who doesn't even exist.
There was a funeral today for my grandfather at both a church and at the cemetery but not one heart felt word was spoken. Just the mindless, robotic crap put forth by this religion. How pathetic. Two hours of absolutely nothing. How sad.
So do I think Catholics can be saved from Hell? Yes, but as the Bible says of the rich, it's like a camel passing through the eye of a needle. While 100% of Mormons, Muslims and JW's will surely spend eternity in hell, it is conceivable that a Catholic can enter the Kingdom. But he has to be an independent thinker that sees beyond the endless rituals and idol worship. The Catholic that keeps his eye on the prize, Jesus, can and will be saved. For whosoever calls upon His name shall be saved.
I have discussed this, especially the Mary worship with various family members and mostly they chalk it up to me being anti-female because of the stance I take on female politicians. While being a proud female myself, I know our place and it's not as heads of state, church or even business. The male gender is the superior gender and the Bible will back me up on that.
The problem I have with the Mary worship issue is because there is not ONE single mention of it in the Bible. Then again, most of the stuff Catholics do and preach is either in direct contradiction to the Bible or just something totally made up. Oh yeah, and their priests are a bunch of child molesters. It's no wonder Michael Jackson didn't try for priesthood.
So where am I going with all this? Well, I'll be honest, my intention as I began this post was to briefly discuss the crappy funeral and do a celeb feet update. But as usual, I can not and will not hold my tongue. So I changed the title from "Celeb Feet 11-14" to simply "11-14" and the celeb feet can wait until next time.
The whole moral of the story is don't put your faith in man made religion. It's all about Christ and that's it. Religion says you have to measure up to God. How many think that's even remotely possible? The Bible says salvation is a free gift. You can't earn it, you don't deserve it. It's a free gift from God for those who put their faith in His Son.
Man made religion suggests there are many roads to Heaven. The Holy Bible paints an entirely different picture. Jesus Christ is the one and only way to Heaven And without Him, you're finished, destined for Hell with no second chances. An eternity of unthinkable torment. An eternity with no light, ho hope and no God. An eternity that will never, ever, ever, ever end. Your human mind could never comprehend that but those in hell can.
As I close, I must remind you that there are currently countless billions of lost souls in Hell. While in their earthly bodies not a single one of them truly believed in Jesus Christ. Ironically now, 100% of them now believe in Him. Too bad it's too late.
