Overflowing: Paris picked out so many treats that the handles of her bag snapped as she left Barneys New York in Los Angeles


Their fame and success means they don't lack cash in the bank.

But it seems no matter how rich a celebrity becomes, they still love a bargain.

Pop sensation Joe Jonas, heiresses Nicky and Paris Hilton, and singer Gwen Stefani joined the hordes hitting the shops on Black Friday yesterday.

Despite it being traditionally one of the biggest shopping days of the year, the stars mingled with the other shoppers at stores across Los Angeles.

Jonas, 21, braved the stores alone as he picked out some new trainers.
After visiting a clothing store, the singer went to Whole Foods, where he stocked up.

Perhaps he was planning some post-Thanksgiving couple time with girlfriend Ashley Green - the pair were later spotted walking their pet dogs together.

Also looking for bargains was the Hilton sisters. The pair might be heiresses, but they love any excuse for a shopping spree.

Of course, they weren't trawling through the racks in Target.

Paris tweeted: 'Just finished shopping with NickyHilton at Barney's, Intermix, Mac and Burberry. Got so many beautiful things, loves it! :)'

But the couple, who had previously denied even dating, were then spotted checking into a motel together - leading to speculation the break-up was a stunt.
