I am SO happy we are finished with daylights saving time. Whoever came up with that ridiculous idea ought to burn in hell. Yeah, we really need it to be daylight until 9pm in the summer don't we? Insane.
But as the rest of the nation enjoys cool weather and rain, we're expecting 80 degrees this week. Oh joy. I just went outside a little while ago and it's about as bright as it would be on the surface of the sun. I do believe there's a shield over central California that prevents any clouds whatsoever from penetrating.
Well, it's do or die in the WS tonight for the Phillies. If they lose and fall behind 3-1 it's pretty much over I think. That would mean having to win three straight and two in New York against AJ Burnett, Andy Pettitte and CC Sabathia. Good luck with that. Yes, the Yankees are the only team in history to blow a 3-0 series lead but their starting pitchers back then were Kevin Brown, Jon Leiber, Mike Mussina and an old and washed up El Duque Hernandez.
